Tips on How to Fall Asleep Faster

  1. Don’t do any sort of work in your bed. Bed is for sleep and relaxation, not anything else.

  2. Set the AC thermostat to cool.

  3. Write down any thoughts you might have before you go to sleep. This will get out all of your stress and frustration before sleep.

  4. Remove any distractions. Turn off your cell phone, TV, and other digital devices so that you can prepare for sleep and avoid keeping your mind active.

  5. Avoid tea, coffee or other caffeinated drinks at least 4 hours before going to sleep.

  6. You may take chamomile tea before sleep as it helps to relax your mind.

  7. Keep your house quiet. If relaxing music helps you fall asleep,turn it on before bed.

  8. Use your imagination to visualize positive future and memories to calm your mind.

  9. Use positive affirmations or mantra chanting to induce happiness and calmness within.

  10. Have a regular routine. Your body needs a certain wake-sleep cycle in order to function properly. So go to bed at the same time each night, and wake at the same time each morning.
