Tips on How to Fall Asleep Faster
- Don’t do any sort of work in your bed. Bed is for sleep and relaxation, not anything else.
- Set the AC thermostat to cool.
- Write down any thoughts you might have before you go to sleep. This will get out all of your stress and frustration before sleep.
- Remove any distractions. Turn off your cell phone, TV, and other digital devices so that you can prepare for sleep and avoid keeping your mind active.
- Avoid tea, coffee or other caffeinated drinks at least 4 hours before going to sleep.
- You may take chamomile tea before sleep as it helps to relax your mind.
- Keep your house quiet. If relaxing music helps you fall asleep,turn it on before bed.
- Use your imagination to visualize positive future and memories to calm your mind.
- Use positive affirmations or mantra chanting to induce happiness and calmness within.
- Have a regular routine. Your body needs a certain wake-sleep cycle in order to function properly. So go to bed at the same time each night, and wake at the same time each morning.
